I have this chair in my front room. It is super comfy and calls my name everyday after work. I pretty much listened to this chair for months and months and months
One day I said Fuck you chair, I will not give it to your comfy ways. Instead I took off my coat put down my purse and walked up stairs. I walked over to the built in drawers next to my bed and opened my "workout clothes" drawer. I took out my pants a top and put on my gym shoes.
I walked down stairs and my 3 year old says to me "Mommy are gonna workout?"
Yes! Yes I am. I put in my Jillian Michaels Body Revolution DVD and pushed play. I started working out. I started pushing myself. I stepped out of my comfort zone. I told myself only you can make this happen.
As my 1 year old is trying to sit on my back while I do pushups, I gently take her off, set her up with her sippy cup of milk and LeapPad on her Mickey Mouse couch. I continue my workout.
I repeat this process everyday. I come in and go upstairs and change into my workout clothes. No excuses. I make this my daily habit. My kids do get in the way. I do have to pause the DVD several times. I do have tell my girls I don't have time to play right now. It's ok to say NO. It's ok to make time for yourself. It's just a half hour a day.
I could have every excuse in the world. I have a full time job. I have a husband and 2 kids that I have to cook for everyday. I'm tired. My back hurts. I don't have time. I'll workout tomorrow. I don't feel like it. On and On and On.
All you have to do is to DO IT! Get up and Workout. Eat Healthy. You will see results. Make time for yourself. Make an effort for your health. Make it a point in your day to make yourself feel great. You deserve that much.
