Fitness Fashion Fridays




Happy Fri-Yay Loves!! It's super cold here in Chicago, so lets pretend it's warm out and talk about dresses. I have never been one to wear short dresses. I hate my legs and I have no tan. White Girl Problems.


Hello Beautiful Bliss has the cutest dresses for Spring/Summer and I just may have to break down and get one! I am in love with all of these. I can't wait until spring is here and I can start wearing these! Pair it with a cute cardi or jean jacket and I'd be set. There still are a few left so lets go shopping ladies!


Some people like myself maybe be a little uncomfortable with short dresses. Well HBB has the perfect thing for that, a dress extender!!! I am on my second week of 21 Day Fix Extreme.  I have been trying to follow the meal plan as closely as I can. These workouts are extreme and burn lots of calories, which makes me hungry!  The 1200 calories is just not enough. I am not a fitness expert but what I do know is that you need to have a calorie deficit of 500 a day to lose 1 pound a week.

3500 is equal to 1 pound 500 x 7 = 3500.

My FitBit One tells me what my weekly calorie burn is and on average I burn 2000 a day, which means to maintain my weight I can eat up to 2000 calories, but to lose weight I should eat 500 under my total burn.

If I burn 2000 a day and eat no more than 1500 a day I should have lost a pound in one week. You still with me?  I am trying to stay at around 1300 calories. I give myself a little leeway on the weekends, just being honest!  I love food and I am know that it is not realistic for me to not eat "crap" food, so I just limit my intake and make sure that I make healthier choices during the week.

I have learned in my journey what my body needs and what it responds to. Sure I could eat 1200 calories a day and lose a bunch of weight. I've done that... then I just gained it right back because I would binge on all the foods that I had missed out on. That is just not me. I need pizza, I need Chipotle, I need chocolate. I am not going to deprive myself of these things just so I can lose an extra pound this week.

I will always eat the bad foods, I just know now not to eat them all the time and have portion control!
